Book a free water testAs a local water filter supplier, we fit one filter where the water enters your property instead of a small filter on each tap. The shower, the kitchen, the laundry and the hot water system all get the same filtered water. If you've tried a shower-head filter that did nothing, this is why.
Every whole house water filter installation starts with a free water test. One of our licensed plumbers measures your water on site with a digital TDS meter, looks at where your meter sits and gives you a fixed written price. TDS stands for total dissolved solids, a measure of everything dissolved in the water. Nobody pushes you to sign on the day.
A filter reduces chlorine and catches sediment. It won't stop limescale. That's a softener's job.
All three come from hardness: dissolved calcium and magnesium. A cartridge filter lets it straight through. If scale is your main problem, look at water softener installation instead, or at the premium package, which does both.
Water passes through three cartridges in turn before it reaches the house. Each one does a different job. A micron is a thousandth of a millimetre, so the smaller the number, the finer the cartridge.
Catches sand, silt, dirt and rust, and protects the two carbon stages behind it.
Reduces chlorine, taste and odour.
Reduces chlorine by-products (trihalomethanes), volatile organics and many heavy metals.
A carbon block is a solid, compressed cartridge, so water is forced through far more carbon for longer. Loose granular carbon is cheaper, but water can channel past it.
Perth's scheme water is chlorinated for a good reason. Water Corporation says it adds chlorine to all water supply sources to prevent contamination. The familiar taste and smell come from chlorine reacting with natural organic compounds. Water Corporation also says the water it supplies meets all health guidelines.
So the filter isn't about making tap water safe. It's about how your water tastes and smells, at the kitchen tap and in the shower. The two carbon block stages reduce chlorine, chlorine by-products, taste and odour at every tap and shower in the house. Chloramine-specific cartridges can be fitted where your supply calls for it.
We fit the filter as close to your water meter as practical, so everything downstream is covered. It's UV rated for outdoor installation, so it can go on an outside wall without a cover.
The housings take standard-size 20 inch cartridges, so you're never locked into buying from us. If you think you'll want a softener down the track, tell us at the water test. The two are separate units plumbed in line, and we'll leave room for one.
We don't recommend a DIY install. The filter is plumbed into your mains line, and that work should be done by a licensed plumber. A DIY install can also void the product warranty.

Perth's water is harder on cartridges than most Australian cities, so many homes are closer to 6 months than 12. We'll give you a realistic schedule after your water test and remind you when a change is due. You can change the cartridges yourself, or book water filter replacement and servicing and we'll do it for you.
No. This is the most common misunderstanding in the category. Limescale is dissolved calcium and magnesium, and a cartridge filter lets it straight through. Only a water softener removes hardness. If scale on your shower screen or tapware is the main problem, a filter alone will disappoint you.

Not for safety. Ellenbrook, Aveley and The Vines get chlorinated scheme water that Water Corporation says meets all health guidelines. A filter is for chlorine taste, smell and sediment. Hardness in that supply zone ranged from 76 to 160 mg/L in 2024-25, and hardness is a softener question.
Yes. We install across Perth's north-east and northern suburbs, from Ellenbrook and the Swan Valley to Wanneroo, Kingsley and Joondalup. The filter goes at your water meter and it's UV rated, so it can sit outside without a cover. Our own licensed plumbers do every install.
Yes. The two are separate units plumbed in line, so a softener can be added at any time. We'll leave room for it at install if you think you might want one down the track.
A 15-minute test at your home gives you real numbers and a straight answer on whether you need a filter, a softener or both. No cost and no obligation.
